20 - Montana Raceway Park & a Kailspell Hotel
The blog is finally up to date. It's the wee hours of Monday morning, I've been working on this for hours. It took 14 hours to upload 400 pictures. "Free High Speed Internet" is a claim hotels make, but one must pay before experiencing the service.
Anyhow, I'm just south of the Canadian border and will spend tomorrow night in Alberta. It is so very far from here to Alaska and the vast and desolate land between here and Fairbanks is daunting. ... very daunting. I don't anticipate updates anytime soon. I'll camp in Canada and, if absolutely necessary, will get the cheapest hotel available in Alaska.

It's now Monday morning and I'm logging off for awhile. After a trip to Wal-Mart for a filter and jug of oil, the Goldwing is full of fresh dinosaur juice and ready to go. Thanks to the good folks at Tire-o-Rama who let me set up shop in the parking lot and disposed of the used motor oil and gear oil.
It's now Friday night and I've ridden over 2,000 miles and am now in the Yukon in Dawson City. Tomorrow I'll be in Chicken, Alaska and should make Fairbanks on Sunday. The next post is sure to be picture intensive as the last week has been AMAZING!
Unless their is a short-track in Alaska that I'm unaware of, tomorrow will be my first Saturday of the trip not spent watching local stock-car racing.
Spending Saturday nights at the racetrack, has proved to be one of the most enjoyable parts of my trip. The racing is great, as are the people.
I met Dallas as I walked into the track. He was there with his kids, and with his kid's friends. He had quite the crew. He has family in Fairbanks and gave their contact information to me.
After the race, I've planned on getting a hotel on Sunday. NASCAR is racing at the Brickyard, and my blog requires a dozen hours to get updated. Today, I checked into the hotel around 11:00 a.m. It's the first day I haven't ridden (I rode here, about 10 miles.) Tomorrow, I need to go to Wal-Mart to buy Oil & Filter and then I need to change my oil before heading to Canada.
These cars are called Bandeleros. They have lawnmower engines and are for kids ages 8-12.
This guy was clearly a driver, so I talked to him while on a beer run. He's a good driver, but he crashed tonight.
NASCAR on the laptop, NASCAR on the TV, and breakfast.
